Unforgettable

Unforgettable is a Wasque 26’, a down-east-style bass boat with clean lines and a sea-kind ride. The owners loved the hull but felt the interior did not match the boat’s classic quality. The goal was to create a bright, Herreshoff-inspired space with clean joinery and selective bright wood to accent. We used 3D software to refine their vision and confirm the layout before work began.

The project focused on interior joinery and finish work. We installed a new solid wood beaded headliner, solid wood and painted ceiling boards, and new plywood skins on all bulkheads to create smooth, paintable surfaces. We built custom-veneered marine plywood cabinsides and a matching countertop. All new doors and drawers were custom-built. The sole is custom laminated teak and holly. We installed new trim and sanded, painted, and varnished every surface throughout.

We partnered with a reputable paint firm in Traverse City to pre-paint all trim, ceiling boards, and the headliner. Yacht Solutions in Traverse City handled the electrical work.

The new interior feels brighter and easier to maintain, and the owners now have a space that matches the boat’s classic lines.
